丨Product Introduction
The optical fiber micro-crack tester is a high-precision reflection distribution measurement device based on time-domain
optical coherence tomography (TD-OCT) technology. It adopts a classic Michelson interferometer structure, splitting
the light output by the low-coherence source into two paths, which are introduced into the test object (DUT) and the
movable reflector respectively. When the optical path difference of the two paths is zero, the reflected light undergoes
interference, and the interference light intensity is proportional to the optical echo loss of the DUT, thereby accurately
obtaining the echo loss value at that position. By continuously moving the reflector and recording the interference signal,
the instrument can reconstruct the distribution curve of the optical echo loss within the DUT along the position,
achieving precise positioning and quantitative analysis of minor defects.
丨Core Features
·Ultra-high sensitivity, capturing extremely weak reflections
The sensitivity reaches -75 dB or above, capable of detecting extremely small refractive index changes in the fiber, even nanoscale micro-cracks or abnormal connection points can be clearly presented, providing a strong guarantee for high-reliability detection.
·Clear curves, flexible threshold setting
The test results are presented in clear curves, with the echo loss distribution being clearly visible. Users can freely set the threshold and resolution according to their needs. The system supports automatic warning prompts for exceeding limits, helping to quickly identify abnormal points and improving detection efficiency.
·Simple and intuitive, one-click intelligent measurement
The user-friendly interface design makes the operation simple and convenient. Just by touching the buttons, the measurement can be automatically completed. No complex settings are required, reducing the usage threshold, allowing you to focus on data analysis rather than instrument operation.
丨Application Areas
·Micro-crack detection
Precisely locate micro-cracks within the fiber and evaluate mechanical reliability.
·Special device analysis
Suitable for the reflection characteristic research of special devices such as fiber gratings and polarization-maintaining fibers.
·Optical module testing
Check the internal optical path connection quality of the module to ensure signal transmission performance.
·Scientific research
Perform micro-crack detection on internal fiber paths of optical modules, jumper cables, WDM devices, etc., to ensure their reliability under vibration, temperature cycling, and other stress conditions.
